Some reasons I'm taking this course would be:

• To learn about literature.
• To learn about the history about literature.
• To get a better vocabulary through reading and writing.
• To get credits towards college, a job, and other things. 

I am excited to learn these things and i'm looking forward to getting a good grade, i'm nervous about the work and the pressure that comes with all the classes plus the responsibility's I will have at home, although I do know I can do it and get through it. By the end of this course I will expect to have learned a lot about literature, I will understand the scripture in everything i read for the rest of my life. 

I feel Richard Cory would have never surprised an open source learning network because, if he was a part of it he would have people to talk to, he would know who cares, and even if he did still decide to commit suicide, it wouldn't have been a surprise, we would've already known.
